How to Choose a Paint Color for your Home’s Interior

Like the Flooring in your Spokane home the color you choose for a room in your home is going to determine the mood of that room; what it is going to feel like to other people when they walk in. When it comes to interior painting it is best to stick with continuity throughout the house. One or two colors with accent colors are a good way to go. By adding the accent colors you are giving different rooms unique personalities.

There are certain color combinations that complement each other very well. For a kitchen, blue and white or yellow and green look nice with the Flooring. For a formal dining room, red and black make a great statement. Also, grays and blues, burgundy and khaki and dark green and khaki all look really good together.

Using very bold colors on the interior of your home can be a problem down the line. Bold colors are usually the “color of the moment” and can quickly date a room. Instead, use bold colors as accents that’ll look good with your Hardwood Floors. Choosing colors can be difficult so people will choose to do the whole interior of their home in a neutral color scheme. Painting your whole house in neutral colors can be boring. Don’t be afraid of color. People tend to be especially afraid of dark colors.

Color is the key to how the rest of the décor in the home is going to be perceived. A large, open family room can be painted in a bright, warm color to bring the walls in. For a small room like a den, paint it a cooler color to push the walls out. The colors of the art in the room should balance the colors of the space so for example; don’t put a piece of décor that is a bold primary color in a pastel room. Remember, color is going to look different in changing lighting so test some samples at different times of the day.
